Paige Satchell has signed for Wellington Phoenix.
Wellington Phoenix believe they have found the perfect player to replace their leading goalscorer from last season.
The Phoenix have confirmed the signing of Football Ferns speedster Paige Satchell for the upcoming A-League Women season, helping offset the loss of Grace Jale, who has moved to Canberra United after bagging six goals last term.
With 30 international caps to her name, Satchell is the highest credentialed player the Phoenix have signed since gaining entry into the A-League Women.
The 24-year-old is now a regular starter for the Football Ferns, and she is also their main attacking threat.

Satchell has joined the Phoenix after playing finals football in both of her first two seasons in the A-League Women, with Sydney FC and Canberra United.
“We don’t feel like we’re necessarily missing out by losing Grace,” coach Gemma Lewis said.
“She’s a great player but by signing a starting Fern, one that has scored goals on an international stage with the qualities that Paige has, we don’t feel we have a hole.
“We’ve filled that gap with somebody that has a lot of experience and a lot to offer.”
Satchell’s greatest asset is her pace and Lewis said she would add a new dimension to the Phoenix attack.
“We saw ourselves how much we struggled to deal with that sort of pace,” she said.
“You can see it has an impact at the highest international level, so within the A-League it’s definitely something that players and teams will be worried about.
“For us it’s going to be about how we utilise that and how we give her the best opportunity and provide her with enough ball that she can really show what she can do.”
