My friend hitchhiked from Genève to Buchs (across the Rhein from Liechtenstein) on June 29, 1957. Can anyone tell me what route he would most likely have taken? That is, which cities would he have likely passed through? I’m trying to determine whether he would have taken a southerly route through the mountains, a northerly route north of the lakes, or maybe a middle route between the lakes.
