Good day everyone. I’ll be finishing my master’s degree in food science (FC) circa. 2 years from now and I’m looking into possible work places. To me, Switzerland seems to be an attractive country to live and work due to the more or less known benefits (low tax rates, high salaries and more). The only con I’m hearing from compatriots is the health system, but health system in Greece I assume is even worse. Is my degree as a master’s in FC valued in your country/demanded or even well paid (the only info I have to go by as of now is salary explorer which estimates the lowest salary for a food Scientist to be 6.840 CHF with an average of 14.000 CHF)? Are Ph.D’s being hired by manufacturers or research there? How Developed is the food sector/food research there? Thanks a lot for any feedback.
