How did Switzerland become so wealthy as in GDP per capita? – صحيفة الصوت

I'm not Swiss, but I can imagine that having a mountainous region can have a serious disadvantage on infrastructure costs comparing to more flatter countries. You would therefore think Switzerland would have a harder time becoming wealthy because a lot of individuals and cantons would have to invest in infrastructure in the mountains.
