Football Ferns goalkeeper Vic Esson has signed with Scottish champions Rangers on the back of some eye-catching performances on the international stage for New Zealand.

Esson, who has gradually become the Football Ferns’ first-choice goalkeeper after usurping long-time number one Erin Nayler this year, has joined the famous Glasgow club following a brief spell with SC Sand in Germany.

Prior to her stint in Germany Esson spent three years in Norway at Avaldsnes.

The 31-year-old Cantabrian is part of a growing New Zealand contingent in Scotland with Football Ferns Meikayla Moore and Katie Rood signing with Glasgow City and Hearts ahead of the upcoming season.
