Fishermen ‘buzzing’ after encounter with humpback whales – صحيفة الصوت

Two boaties have enjoyed an up-close encounter with three humpback whales.

Wyatt said he was “buzzing” when he spotted the mammals in what he described as a rare experience.

“It was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me, I’ve been fishing out there for quite a few years now,” Wyatt said.

He admitted he was “a bit nervous” the whales could flip his boat.

“My boat is a 5.7 metre and they were longer than the boat,” Wyatt said.

However Wyatt and his friend enjoyed the sight, as they captured the experience on video.

“You can’t pay for an experience like that,” he said.
