England’s Australian-born coach Eddie Jones has engaged in a fiery confrontation with a spectator, who labelled him a “traitor” during his team’s 21-17 victory over the Wallabies at the SCG on Saturday night.
Key points:
- Jones took offence to comments made to him by a spectator
- He grew up in Australia and previously coached the Wallabies
- England won the Test series 2-1
Footage posted to social media showed a spectator wearing a Wallabies supporter cap sledging Jones, who coached the Wallabies between 2001 to 2005.
As his security detail tried to hold him back, Jones pushed past to charge at the spectator on the fence line.
“What did you say? What did you say?” a furious Jones asked the spectator.
