An out-of-control driver has ploughed into a used car dealership in Melbourne’s south-east.

CCTV captured the moment two Kluger station wagons – one black, the other white – collided before crashing into the premises.

Both cars were left in a tangle of metal and inside the showroom, causing thousands of dollars worth of damage.

A Victoria Police spokesperson said both drivers were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

“The building was extensively damaged and three cars on the premises were also damaged,” the spokesperson said.

Public Car Sales owner Hedayatullah Ibrahimi said he was shocked by the incident.

“The two cars were so really badly damaged. I was feeling really shocked,” he said.

Ibrahimi started his used car dealership one year ago and said his livelihood was smashed to pieces in seconds.

He said the total bill is estimated to be more than $100,000.

“We can’t fix it, it is a total loss,” he said.

“We might have lost too much money so it’s really hard.

“It doesn’t matter about the loss or anything, many cars or buildings I don’t care, as long as we are alive that’s the main thing.”

The business, which is uninsured, will be out of action for up to a month while the structural damage to the building is repaired.

Police say the investigation into the collision is ongoing.
