It’s the same old story, after 4 months of minimal maternity leave, my small firm is acting all odd. The first day of my return, they gave me a concrete KPI, and stressed that this is what I need to finish this year. (It’s a small ngo, no bonus scheme, being told don’t have specific KPI before joined)

and 1 week in, the big boss is asking for detailed progress and he wrote a 1000 words email with a stressed tone about it. and was asked not to contact other team members for new information just to focus on my task instead.

Also got disinvited from weekly team meetings so “ I can focus on my job.”

As I am the only full-time employee with a permanent contract in Switzerland, where the other team members are based in South America with its national economy going south, my theory is that my swiss salary is too expensive.

Should I even do anything about this? should I hand in my resignation or let them squeeze me out? I do admit that some part of me want to lawyer up because working mom’s right should be not taken lightly. Tks
